as i feel enjoyed listening to this song i kinda feel bad too..its been a while since he sing something like this with ease and emotion. i can hear that he seems to pull it off and shine, although his voice now sounds weaker and thin. but nevertheless its still beautiful.
i even have goosebumps, its like needle pinching my neck. it gave me thrills. this thrills, an emotion i didnt feel for a long time whenever i hear him jumping from note to note which is probably since he sang in timo tollki’s key to the universe in 2002.
and yes it hurts. i kinda feel betrayed tho. yeah he’s done this so many times before, i’m not really surprised, but still..it hurts. i mean i used to support his idea about being “creative” passing boundaries or whatsoever, and he even talks alot about hating metal and metal is bad for your life. i mean that’s kinda brave, but until i know that he keep accepting metal project from other’s band or musician, keep saying the E chord is hurting his ears while accepting to sing in avantasia?? what kind of saying is that??
ah well, lets just skip that and lets dive into this song..
wasteland adalah sebuah lagu yang sangat metal, err maksud saya power metal. epik, mungkin kata yang tepat dalam bahasa power metal, menurut saya sih seperti itu. dentuman dobel pedal yang terus mengiringi hingga akhir lagu yang berdurasi 4.39 menit?? that soaring vocal of michi and tobi, the vibrating part of wasssstelanddd (although i kinda feel a bit irritaded)..the leap scream before that, cabikan bass saat pergantian peran vokal dari michi ke tobi..duel gitar yang meyayat kulit mencabik-cabik hati *mulai lebay* lirik yang ah rasanya menyedihkan….mendengarkan wasteland rasanya seperti ingin menari dan menangis sekaligus..
btw, intronya seperti march of time yah?:)
err, excuse me, im gonna weep for a while, happy visiting the wasteland eh ternyata ada yang perasaannya sama.. di komen halaman dua..what a song.
